My Statement of Faith

This is a summary of my beliefs about God and the state of man.  Many of the statements are described more fully in the other articles available on this Web site.

1.             God is One. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Galatians 3:20)

2.             God consists of The Father, His Son Jesus (Yeshua), and the Holy Spirit as separate entities. (Matthew 28:19)

3.             Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach), by the authority of the Father, created the universe in six literal days about 6000 years ago.  (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 30:11; Exodus 31:17; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16)

4.             Yeshua created man, with free will, to have meaningful voluntary fellowship with him.  (Genesis 1:27; 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 John 1 3)

5.             The world was perfect, and was the perfect habitat for Man.  (Genesis 1:31)

6.             Man rebelled against God and brought a curse upon all creation.  (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21; Romans 8:22)

7.             Death came into the world through this act of rebellion.  (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21; Romans 8:22)

8.             The Father destroyed a corrupt world through the flood about 4500 years ago, and saved only eight people.  (Genesis 6:17; 1 Peter 3:20-21)

9.             The Father sent Jesus (Yeshua), His Son, to pay the penalty for sin by being tortured and dying on a cross.  (It wasn’t that Jesus died, but that He was punished to death for our sin.)  (Philippians 2:8; Romans 5:19; Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 103:12)

10.      Jesus (Yeshua) physically arose from the dead and ascended to the Father and is there to this day.  (Mark 15:6; Mark 16:19; Acts 1:9; Acts 10:41)

11.      Jesus (Yeshua) built His church on the statement that He is the Christ, the Son of God.  (Matthew 16:16-18)

12.      Jesus (Yeshua) established that to be saved (as a part of His church), you are to Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Christ (a public statement of your faith in Him), and be Baptized (by immersion). (Acts 2:38,
