Verse 1
Jesus
stood before Pilate and said, "My Kingdom is not of this plane."
Pilate
asked, "You are a King, then?" hoping to clear his own blame
"For
this reason, I came to the world: To testify to the truth."
"All
on the side of truth listen to me."
And
Pilate said,"What is truth?"
Chorus:
Truth
is the truth; it doesn't change.
And
it doesn't matter if you believe it.
Truth
is the truth; it remains the same.
It's
reality as God sees it.
Verse 2
I spoke
to someone who had strange ideas about what’s right in some situations
"What's
true for you isn't true for me." She
said with a sense of elation.
I
tried to explain that real truth exists. I told her there are absolutes.
"Truth
is, there is right and there is wrong,"
And
she said, "What is truth?"
Chorus:
Truth
is the truth; it doesn't change.
And
it doesn't matter if you believe it.
Truth
is the truth; it remains the same.
It's
reality as God sees it.
Bridge
Man
thinks he decides what’swrong and what’s right;
Swaps
the truth of God for a lie
He
does so much that shouldn’t be done.
But
it’s right in his own eyes.
Men
love evil rather than good; Falsehood rather than truth
When
confronted with the laws of God
They
ask, "What is truth?"
Chorus:
Truth
is the truth; it doesn't change.
And
it doesn't matter if you believe it.
Truth
is the truth; it remains the same.
It's
reality as God sees it.
Verse 3
The
standard was set so long ago. It was set
for our own good Sl 2nd & 3rd
str from 9th fret
The
world would be a better place
if
we would just do as we should.
There
is an objective observer; One who sees and knows everything
He's
the only one who has all the facts.
"God
is truth!"
Chorus:
Truth
is the truth; it doesn't change.
And
it doesn't matter if you believe it.
Truth
is the truth; it remains the same.
It's
reality as God sees it.
